Moving to the Next Level

Moving to the next step, I tried to create a basic shape and coloring it. The most basic shape I could imagine was ball and I happened to have a rubber ball around my desk. So I used it as a model. To learn basic highlight and shadow as well. Blending was hard back then. I had no knowledge at all about blending colors.
And voila! That green rubber ball was my first illustration that I really drew and colored myself. Still low on shading & highlight contrast, but, I think that was a good start.
